Dr. Patel is highly educated. He has committed himself to continuing his education past medical school by taking yearly continuing education courses, maintaining his Board Certifications, and being a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Florida Medical Association.
Dr. Patel completed a MBBS, Graduate Medical Education awarding Doctor in Medicine (MD) from Baroda Medical College in 1998 in India. He as a child of a poor single mother in India, struggling through poverty and taught himself English to attend medical school.
Dr. Patel then immigrated to America and attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY from 2002 to 2005, completing an MD Internship and Residency in Pediatrics.
After, Dr. Patel attended University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, PA from 2005 to 2008, completing MD Fellowship in Neonatal- Perinatal Medicine. While completing his Fellowship in University of Pittsburg School of Medicine, he also completed Master’s Certification in Biomedical Informatics, AMIA 10x10 Program and graduated with Summa Cum Laude 3.93 GPA from the University of Pittsburg.
Finally, Dr. Patel completed Physician Executive Masters of Business Administration from Harbert College of Business, Auburn University, AL from 2017 to 2019. Dr. Patel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He is Green Belt SIX SIGMA Certified in Process and Quality Improvement.
Dr. Patel continues to pursue higher education and maintains both Board Certifications for Pediatrics and Neonatology. He strives to provide a great quality of care.
